Job summary

Talener is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a remote-first software company. You will manage cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and reliability practices for a platform delivering real-time support sessions inside enterprise service and CRM apps with AI assistance. The role is fully remote in the US with some overlap with the EU team.

You will join a small DevOps/SRE group supporting platform, native clients and QA, participating in on-call rotation and ensuring safe, staged rollouts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering.
• Production AWS experience with ECS, EC2 Auto Scaling and VPC networking.
• Hands-on with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Experience building infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or CDK for Terraform.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript for automation.
• Linux administration with shell scripting and Docker.
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Running Node.js applications in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain infrastructure as code in TypeScript using AWS CDK and CDK for Terraform.
• Lead migration from CloudFormation to CDK for Terraform.
• Provision and maintain containers on Amazon ECS, including capacity providers and autoscaling across accounts and regions.
• Design, maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and Bitbucket.
• Plan capacity and execute deployments.
• Develop and maintain observability practices (metrics, logging, alerting, incidents).
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Implement identity, secrets, and encryption practices in AWS IAM, KMS, and Systems Manager.
