remoteo is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager / DevOps Engineer to drive reliability for a major US & UK banking customer. You will lead SRE practices across cloud-native apps on AWS, enhance monitoring, and reduce toil through automation. English proficiency (C1) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 or 10 years of relevant DevOps/SRE/Cloud experience as a baseline.
• Strong AWS experience and cloud adoption patterns.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD with Jenkins.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Proven experience with monitoring/observability tools (New Relic, Grafana, AppDynamics, Logz.io).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and Jira.
• Experience defining/managing SLI/SLO metrics in production.
• Programming in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with automation and on-call resilience practices.
• Familiarity with incident management tools (ServiceNow, PagerDuty).
• English at C1 level.

Responsibilities

• Apply SRE principles to in-house applications.
• Own platform reliability across cloud environments.
• Improve monitoring and observability for AWS deployments.
• Automate operations and enable self-healing.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and reliability metrics.
• Participate in architecture reviews and service reviews.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Support 24/7 on-call rotation for critical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost resiliency.
• Drive automation and efficiency initiatives.
