Job summary

Front Door Defense is seeking a Senior DevOps/SRE to build, operate, and scale cloud-native infrastructure across distributed data platforms. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, multi-cloud infrastructure, observability, CI/CD, IaC, incident management, and GitOps practices; you’ll collaborate with platform, development, and operations teams across time zones to improve reliability.

This is a hands-on senior role on the East Coast with remote eligibility and competitive compensation; expect on-call

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or equivalent
• Strong experience with Kubernetes-based cloud-native environments
• Experience implementing IaC, CI/CD and monitoring
• Familiarity with on-call incident response and postmortems
• Ability to collaborate across time zones and teams

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters and workloads
• Manage multi-cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
• Implement IaC using Terraform and Helm
• Build automation tooling with Python/Go/Bash
• Drive observability: monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in on-call rotations
• Support and optimize distributed data platforms like Kafka/Elasticsearch/Spark/Redis/MongoDB
• Contribute to reliability improvements and postmortems
• Support GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
• Evaluate AI-assisted operational tooling for auto-remediation
