Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a senior Business Developer for a remote opportunity within the All Domain Operations group. The role emphasizes market analysis, capture planning, proposals, and customer engagement to win DoD-related professional services contracts.

You will build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline, interact with senior leadership, and support bid and proposal activities, including white papers and market surveys, while traveling as needed to develop opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 8 years with a Master’s; or 14 years with HS diploma.
• Five+ years in Business Development, Capture Management or Program Management in defense/federal markets.
• Proven pipeline development and transition to capture planning.
• Established relationships with senior DoD/federal customers.
• Ability to travel to develop opportunity pipelines and attend industry days.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement BD projects relating to professional services.
• Market and determine feasibility of product and service development.
• Perform economic analyses and coordinate with internal departments.
• Work with sales, marketing, and customers to determine needs.
• Develop and disseminate information on project goals and objectives.
• Develop and execute account strategy and pipeline to win new business.
• Lead or support negotiation of teaming agreements.
• Develop bid/no-bid recommendations and pursuit strategies.
• Represent ADO Group as primary contact on new pursuits.
