Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager within Warfare Systems under the Mission Technologies division. You will lead multi-year capture efforts, engage senior Navy leadership, and guide proposal teams to shape discriminating offers for large contracts, including IDIQs and single awards.

You will leverage established Navy relationships, conduct market analysis, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align customer needs with HII solutions.

Qualifications

• 8 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field or 6 years with Master's in related field.
• Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Navy customers with established access and relationships across senior leadership, acquisition, program management, and technical organizations.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic account plans for Navy customers, including an understanding of customer priorities, budgets, mission gaps, acquisition strategies, and contracting timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage existing Navy customer relationships to identify, shape, and capture new business opportunities.
• Ability to represent HII with senior Navy leadership and translate customer mission requirements into actionable business development, solutioning, and capture strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-functional BD roles across full lifecycle of opportunities from exploratory through qualification.
• Monitor pipeline, establish BD priorities, allocate resources.
• Provide leadership for pursuits/capture activities to meet or exceed BD goals for awards and pipeline growth.
• Develop strategic pipeline with group VPs to increase market share and revenue.
• Monitor market and competitors to position strengths and competencies.
