Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead Alto’s data platform strategy and execution. You will own the data architecture, governance, and reliability across analytics, product, and ML initiatives.

You will mentor a high‑performing team and drive collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance to deliver scalable data solutions. Strong regulatory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related data infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience architecting, operating, and scaling modern cloud‑based data platforms.
• Strong SQL and programming proficiency (Python, Scala).
• Experience building data platforms in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Experience with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.
• Experience supporting machine learning pipelines and feature stores.
• Exposure to experimentation platforms and product analytics ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and execution of the data platform across analytics, product, and ML initiatives.
• Manage and mentor a high‑performing Data Engineering team.
• Define long‑term vision for data platform aligned with company strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Finance, and Enterprise teams.
• Establish career paths, performance standards, and hiring plans for scalable growth.
• Build stakeholder trust with scalable, well‑documented data solutions.
• Ensure data pipelines are reliable, observable, and compliant with governance standards.
