Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of Alto’s data platform, ensuring high-quality, timely data fuels analytics, product innovation, and ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related data infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience architecting, operating, and scaling modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong expertise in data modeling principles, ELT architectures, and production-grade pipeline orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven track record owning platform reliability, including SLAs, observability, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience building data platforms in healthcare, pharmacy, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.
• Experience supporting machine learning pipelines, feature engineering workflows, or feature stores.
• Exposure to experimentation platforms and product analytics ecosystems.
• Strong SQL and programming proficiency (e.g., Python, Scala).
• Experience implementing data contracts and data product frameworks across domain teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, and serving layers.
• Oversee core tooling (Fivetran, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Looker) for reliable, scalable data infrastructure.
• Ensure data platform powers analytics, experimentation, and ML use cases with well-documented assets.
• Maintain observability, lineage, testing frameworks, and governance across pipelines.
• Scale platform for growing data volume, near real-time needs, and regulatory complexity.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to enable data-driven decisions.
