Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead Alto’s data strategy and platform execution. You will oversee data pipelines, modern data stack evolution, and governance to enable analytics, product development, and ML use cases.

You will mentor a high‑performing team of data engineers, define long‑term platform vision, and partner with product, engineering, finance and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions with strong reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related data infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience architecting, operating, and scaling modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven track record owning platform reliability, including SLAs, observability, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience building data platforms in healthcare, pharmacy, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.
• Experience supporting ML pipelines, feature engineering, or feature stores.
• Strong SQL and programming proficiency (Python, Scala, or similar).
• Experience implementing data contracts and data product frameworks across domain teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers, fostering ownership and technical excellence.
• Define and execute the long-term vision for Alto’s data platform, aligning with company strategy and product roadmaps.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Finance, and Enterprise teams to deliver high‑impact data initiatives.
• Scale the data platform to support growing data volume, near real‑time analytics, and regulatory complexity.
• Evolve standards for data governance, access control, privacy, and compliance in a regulated setting.
• Maintain observability, testing, deployment workflows, and warehouse efficiency for reliable analytics.
