Job summary

Colliers International seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a multinational industrial and office client within Enterprise Project Management. You will guide budgets, assess cost risks, and support project managers with value engineering to deliver on client targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in construction management/engineering and 10+ years in cost estimating, with international project exposure and proficiency in BIM and cost databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; concentration in construction management, engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract)
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings (manufacturing, testing, R&D facilities, warehouses, offices)
• Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy
• Proficiency in contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease)
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with digital design methods like BIM; familiarity with Cost databases and related tools

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes
• Define realistic budgets for construction projects
• Identify cost risks and develop mitigation measures
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed life-cycle stages
• Evaluate cost control effectiveness and review forecasts to safeguard budget
• Support PM with value engineering, price, and claim negotiations
• Collaborate closely with PM and project teams to deliver on client targets
