Job summary

Colliers seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support our Global Occupier Services account. You will oversee cost estimation across industrial and office projects, guide PMs, and ensure budgets align with procurement strategy, contract type, codes, and market conditions.

With 10+ years in pre- and post-contract estimating, you will leverage BIM, CostX, iTwo and MS Office to deliver accurate figures, identify risks, and contribute to value engineering within an international project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract).
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings (manufacturing, testing, R&D facilities, warehouses, offices).
• Ability to critically review and challenge presented cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Profound understanding of contract types (Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build and Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease).
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Good Command of MS Office-applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience of digital design methods like BIM and cost databases.
• Structured, organized way of working – self-starters.
• Special skills in applications such as RIB iTwo or CostX or similar tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for effective cost management procedures.
• Guide and support PMs in defining realistic budgets for construction projects based on project requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes and market conditions.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates in various stages of the project lifecycle from preliminary to detailed level.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plan adherence.
• Apply cost and time effective construction methods to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Assist PM in value engineering, price and claim negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with PM for overall project success and client growth targets.
