Job summary

Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to advise multiple business units including Revenue, Product and Engineering. You will draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, guide product development with regulatory, IP and data privacy considerations, and drive scalable legal processes across the company.

The role emphasizes data privacy leadership, internal policy development, and collaboration with the General Counsel on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS legal risks and business issues.
• Ability to manage high volume of work autonomously and translate legal concepts to business terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering through product lifecycle, navigating regulatory, IP, and contracts for go-to-market launches.
• Contribute to data privacy strategy, translate GDPR/CCPA into operational practices, conduct privacy impact assessments, and negotiate DPAs.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, establish policies and training, and conduct vendor audits.
• Drive scalable legal workflows and self-service templates to accelerate execution.
• Partner with the General Counsel on special projects and broader strategic initiatives.
