Pearson is seeking a Learning Subject Matter Expert with strong editorial mastery to ensure high standards across assessments and content publishing. The role emphasizes applying style guides, QA checks, and collaboration across Editorial, Asset Services, Content, and Program Teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., literature, language, journalism) or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ educational assessment experience.
Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365 apps (Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Excel).
Understands HTML/XML basics for web publishing.

Responsibilities

Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per standards; applies rules consistently.
Ensures uniformity across assessment components; identifies errors with focus.
Judiciously applies client style guidelines; may modify guidelines as needed.
Understand copyeditor scope and escalate concerns when beyond scope.
Lead editor responsibilities include coordinating with Content and Program Teams and reporting status.
