Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Learning Subject Matter Expert to join our Assessment & Qualifications team. You will edit and polish educational content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with standards, while collaborating across editorial and content teams.

This remote role offers an hourly rate of $24.70–$29.56, no bonus eligibility, and opportunities to mentor others and advance editorial practices within Pearson’s global learning company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/training.
• Minimum 3 years editorial experience and 2 years in educational assessment.
• Strong copyediting proficiency and knowledge of major style guides.
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365 apps.
• Understanding of HTML/XML for web publishing.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per standards.
• Ensures uniformity across assessment components and minimizes errors.
• Follows client style guidelines and queries deviations as needed.
• Understands copyeditor scope and flags concerns promptly.
• Seeks ongoing learning to strengthen editorial expertise.
