Qualifications

• Demonstrates end-to-end copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation, and usage.
• Interprets major style references (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s) confidently.
• Proficient with HTML/XML basics for web publishing.
• Strong collaboration and feedback skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, and style per department and client standards.
• Ensures consistency across assessment components and identifies errors.
• Applies client style guidelines and asks for deviation when appropriate.
• Understands copyeditor scope and flags concerns.
• Seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise.
