Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Editorial professional to join our Learning Subject Matter Expert team. The role emphasizes end-to-end copyediting, style-guide adherence, and collaboration across Editorial, Asset Services, Content, and Pearson teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years editorial experience with 2+ in educational assessment, and proficiency with ABBI, eStyle, Oracle, and Microsoft Office 365. This is a remote, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on-the-job training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ experience in educational assessment.
• Demonstrates strong end‑to‑end copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, diction and usage.
• Proficient with major style guides (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s) and industry standards.
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365 apps; understands basics of HTML/XML for web publishing.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax and style per department, client, and industry standards; applies rules consistently.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components; identifies errors and maintains focus throughout the workday.
• Adheres to client style guidelines and asks questions when deviations are needed for the best outcomes.
• Leads editorial responsibilities when assigned and coordinates with teams to ensure quality.
• Leverages AI tools to develop, review, and enhance content with editorial oversight.
