Pearson is seeking a Learning Subject Matter Expert to lead editorial excellence for assessment content. The role focuses on grammar, usage, style, and quality across items, passages, and metadata, ensuring alignment with standards and accessibility.

You will collaborate with Content and Program Teams in a remote, full‑time capacity. The position emphasizes applying copyright knowledge, utilizing Pearson platforms, and mentoring staff while delivering timely, accurate content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in related fields; editorial experience required.
• End‑to‑end copyediting including spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and usage.
• Strong ability to interpret major style guides (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s).
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Office 365 apps; basic HTML/XML familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Edit content per department and industry standards; ensure consistency across components.
• Apply client style guidelines and escalate deviations when needed.
• Lead editor responsibilities and coordinate with Content, Program Teams, and other departments.
• Support training, checklists, and documentation; mentor colleagues as needed.
