Pearson is hiring Learning Subject Matter Experts to work remotely on our Assessment & Qualifications team. You will apply strong copyediting, content editing, and publishing workflow skills to ensure quality and accessibility of assessment content.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, several years of editorial and assessment experience, mastery of style guides, and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Office 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training.
• Minimum editorial experience and assessment experience as stated.
• Strong copyediting, style guide and editorial judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 apps and Acrobat.
• Familiarity with HTML/XML for web publishing.

Responsibilities

• Implement grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, and style per standards.
• Ensure consistency across assessment components and minimize errors.
• Follow client style guidelines and escalate deviations when needed.
• Understand copyeditor scope and flag concerns when beyond scope.
• Pursue ongoing learning to strengthen editorial expertise.
