Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an experienced E&S Construction Underwriter to develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book. The role emphasizes production, broker relationships, and territorial growth across designated markets, with remote work flexibility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of E&S construction underwriting, experience with mid-market accounts, and a proven ability to grow a multi-million-dollar book of business while maintaining underwriting discipline and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ownership of a sizeable book of business ($3M–$5M+).

Responsabilités

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and classify risk, assign rating, endorsements and limits, and determine pricing.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframes and serve as an underwriting resource.
• Create and maintain all documentation and files according to guidelines.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and corporate policies.
• Approve or deny within given authority or escalate as needed.
• Cultivate relationships with internal/external contacts to facilitate underwriting and business development.
• Serve as a resource to staff regarding procedures and guidelines.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
