Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Sr. CPM & Portfolio Delivery across utility-scale solar, battery storage, and HV projects. Fully remote with flexibility on location during interview.

You will coach a multi-region team, drive integrated commissioning plans, manage schedules and milestones, and partner with field leaders to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progress ive experience in EPC commissioning, project management, or delivery of utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading employees and managing a multi-project or portfolio-level workload.
• Proven experience integrating commissioning activities into project schedules, milestones, budgets, and cross-functional delivery plans.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and high-voltage commissioning interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop project-management personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Establish team goals, workload priorities, and accountability aligned with objectives.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop staff while supporting succession planning.
• Build a culture of safety, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Standardize the Sr. CPM operating model across regions, business units, and project types.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of commissioning schedules, milestones, readiness, and risks.
• Ensure each project has clear Sr. CPM ownership and an integrated commissioning plan.
• Monitor portfolio performance, trends, and constraints; improve ownership and predictability.
• Oversee engagement with multiple functions to integrate technical scope and execution risks.
