SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Sr. CPM team and provide portfolio-level oversight for Testing & Commissioning across our solar, storage, and HV projects.

This fully remote role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional coordination, and strong governance across regions and project types. Qualifications

• 8+ years in EPC commissioning, project management, construction management, or delivery of utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Experience leading employees and managing a multi-project or portfolio-level workload.
• Proven experience integrating commissioning activities into project schedules, milestones, budgets, and cross-functional delivery plans.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and high-voltage commissioning interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and elevate project risks, balance competing priorities, and drive cross-functional resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop project-management personnel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with scheduling, project controls, reporting, dashboard, and document-control systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered; PMP or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team and provide direction, coaching, and support.
• Establish team goals, workload priorities, and accountability consistent with objectives.
• Hire, onboard, develop, and mentor employees while supporting succession planning.
• Build a culture of safety, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and standardize the Sr. CPM operating model across regions, units, and project types.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of commissioning schedules, milestones, readiness, risks, and performance.
• Ensure every project has clear Sr. CPM ownership and an integrated commissioning plan and schedule.
• Serve as primary project-level owners for commissioning scope, coordination, milestones, turnover, and closeout.
• Establish readiness reviews, dashboards, reporting, and documentation standards.
• Balance assignments and workload across regions and projects based on schedule, complexity, and priorities.
• Drive early identification and escalation of issues affecting energization, milestones, and customer commitments.
• Support Sr. CPMs in resolving cross-functional, contractual, schedule, resource, and stakeholder challenges.
• Oversee Sr. CPM engagement with PM, Operations, Preconstruction, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Field Testing, Safety, Quality, SCADA, OT Infrastructure, and partners.
• Partner with HV and BESS/PV field leaders to integrate scope and readiness into the project plan without diminishing authority.
• Review staffing needs and forecast; recommend hiring or reassignment to protect delivery.
• Monitor portfolio performance and establish measures to improve ownership, transparency, and customer confidence.
