Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Sr. CPM team, delivering testing and commissioning across solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substations.

You will ensure milestone visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and safe, on-time project delivery in a fully remote environment. You will partner with HV and BESS/PV field leaders to integrate technical scope into the overall project plan, drive risk management, and provide executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of the utility-scale commissioning lifecycle from planning through energization, performance testing, turnover and closeout.
• Strong multi-project management capability with prioritization, workload balancing, and executive escalation.
• Knowledge of commissioning plans, integrated schedules, readiness gates, and turnover requirements.
• Ability to translate contractual requirements into commissioning deliverables, schedules and governance.
• Experience integrating commissioning activities into project schedules, budgets, and cross-functional plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Establish team goals, priorities, and accountability aligned with company objectives.
• Hire, onboard, develop, and mentor employees; support succession planning.
• Build a safety-focused culture and drive continuous improvement across portfolios.
• Standardize the CPM operating model across regions and project types.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of schedules, milestones, readiness, risks, and performance.
• Ensure each project has clear Sr. CPM ownership and an integrated commissioning plan.
• Coordinate with PM, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Safety, and other teams.
