Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines. This role provides administrative and customer service support to the account team, under supervision of an Account Manager or Producer, ensuring quality and compliance while managing small to mid-size accounts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in insurance customer service, strong communication and multitasking skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing, professional designation (CISR) preferred
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and Account Associate
• Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed on time
• Handle policy endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related documents
• Support new and renewal business with client research, submissions, and proposals
• Review contracts to ensure proper coverages
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status with the account team
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek continuous improvement and champion IOA values
