Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Telecommunication Networks, or Telecommunications.
• Experience with network security, protocols for switching and routing including gateway protocols and MPLS, TCP/IP/UDP/HTTP, broadband networks, mesh/bus/star networks, event simulation with Wireshark/NetFlow/tcpdump, and wireless networking.
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in listed fields plus five years of related engineering experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Define and resolve complex technical issues related to Akamai products and infrastructure.
• Work with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales issues to investigate root problems using distributed network data and origin interactions.
• Develop knowledge base articles and best practices for delivering outstanding service.
• Act as SME for multiple products and collaborate with engineering/product management to implement enhancements.
