Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Cloud Support Engineer to define and resolve complex technical issues across Akamai products and infrastructure from Cambridge, MA. You will serve as a subject matter expert and work with engineering to implement future enhancements. Remote work is permitted from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Telecommunication Networks, or Telecommunications.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus five years of experience in related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Define and resolve complex technical issues related to Akamai products and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales issues to investigate root problems.
• Develop methods and best practices for delivering outstanding service and contribute to knowledge base articles.
• Act as subject matter expert for multiple products and services and work with engineering to ensure supportability of new services.
• Define, coordinate, and prioritize customer feedback and ideas into engineering requirements for future enhancements.

Education

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Telecommunication Networks, or Telecommunications
