Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Cloud Support Engineer in Cambridge, MA or remote within the US. You will define and resolve complex technical issues related to Akamai products and infrastructure, working with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales support.

You will analyze data from Akamai’s distributed network, develop best practices, and contribute knowledge base articles. You will partner with engineering to enable new services and drive product enhancements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS, software engineering, IT, or related engineering field.
• Experience with network security, protocols, TCP/IP, and wireless networking.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in related role accepted.

Responsibilities

• Define and resolve complex technical issues related to Akamai products and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales issues to investigate root causes.
• Analyze data from Akamai’s distributed network and interaction with origin infrastructure.
• Develop methods and best practices; create knowledge base articles for sharing.
• Coordinate feedback to engineering and product management for enhancements.
