Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, MA (remote eligible) is hiring a Senior Cloud Support Engineer to define and resolve complex issues across Akamai products and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales challenges, analyze data from Akamai's distributed network, and contribute to knowledge sharing through KB articles. You will act as a subject matter expert, coordinate feedback into engineering requirements, and help ensure new services are

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Telecommunication Networks, or Telecommunications.
• Experience with network security & management; network protocols for switching and routing including gateway protocols and MPLS; TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus five years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Responsibilities

• Define and resolve complex technical issues related to Akamai products and infrastructure.
• Work with customer technical teams on pre- and post-sales issues to investigate root problems using data analysis from Akamai’s distributed network.
• Develop methods and best practices and contribute to knowledge base articles.
• Act as SME for multiple products and coordinate with engineering and product management.
