Job summary

Verisys, a healthcare credentialing platform provider, seeks a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This remote role requires ownership and versatility across cloud, systems, and support work.

You will be the Linux SME, manage Windows Server environments, Nutanix on-prem, container platforms (Rancher and ECS Anywhere), and SMTP/SSL/TLS ecosystems while driving automation and HITRUST/SOC 2

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle.
• Serve as Linux subject matter expert across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS, on-prem and EC2.
• Maintain Nutanix Prism Element/Central, AHV VM management, capacity planning.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay (Postfix/SES), TLS certificates, and deliverability troubleshooting.
