Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, build, and secure the infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform. Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• Hands-on AWS experience with security, networking, and best practices.
• Expert-level Linux administration and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with on-prem Nutanix and container platforms (Rancher, ECS Anywhere).
• Strong Python development for automation and AWS integrations.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS, SMTP relay, and certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Serve as Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, performance tuning across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server environment (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-premises and on EC2.
• Administer Nutanix environment via Prism Element/Central: cluster health, VM mgmt, capacity planning, upgrades, data protection.
• Automate configuration/patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux servers, Postfix, and AWS; automate renewals where possible.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerts; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
• Strong, hands-on AWS security, networking, and best practices; flexible, multi-hat role on a small team.
