Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role combines cloud engineering, systems administration, and on-call duties in a remote setting, with a focus on Windows-based environments, Linux mastery, and on-prem Nutanix administration.

You will manage container platforms (Rancher, ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, SSL/TLS, and IAM, while supporting HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Healthcare or regulated environments experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CI/CD for containers.
• Run containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Serve as the Linux SME across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and in EC2.
• Manage Nutanix Prism Element/Prism Central and AHV VM management.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; support HITRUST and SOC 2.
