Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help build, secure, and scale the infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform. The role is remote, requiring you to live in one of the allowed states, and you will act as the SME for Linux, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms (Rancher, ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS management.

This generalist position sits on a small team, with ownership across cloud engineering, systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or sysadmin; 3+ years in AWS production workloads.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong automation & scripting for infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infra with security & cost discipline.
• Manage infrastructure as code and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and manage Rancher clusters.
• Provision, harden, patch and tune Linux servers across environments.
• Administer Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS on-premises and in EC2.
• Manage on-prem Nutanix Prism Element/Central, AHV VMs, capacity planning.
• Automate config and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, AWS SSM.
• Own SMTP relay (Postfix/SES) and SSL/TLS certificate renewals across platforms.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, on-call readiness, and HITRUST/SOC 2 support.
