Job summary

HistoSonics is seeking a Sr. Clinical Applications Specialist to elevate onboarding and field readiness for new commercial team members. You will mentor, coach, and assess clinical competencies, bridging classroom education with real-world procedures in a fast-paced medtech environment.

You will work with Clinical Training leadership, participate in advanced training, and travel up to 70% to support onboarding, field development, and clinical education initiatives across the Midwest/US regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline is strongly preferred
• 5+ years in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post-market clinical support within medical devices or interventional medicine
• Background in diagnostic medical sonography and/or RDMS certification is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures and physician training models
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate clinical evidence into field-ready guidance

Responsibilities

• Lead field immersion phase of onboarding with hands-on procedural coaching and competency development
• Develop clinical competency and field readiness of new hires through coaching and hands-on experiences
• Coach new hires on clinical workflow, imaging optimization, treatment planning, and post-procedure responsibilities
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide actionable feedback
• Maintain onboarding documentation in the LMS and track progress
• Identify performance gaps and implement individualized development plans
• Support foundations and advanced training through simulations and workshops
• Ensure standardized execution of clinical workflows and customer interactions across cohorts
• Collaborate with Clinical Training team to improve onboarding curriculum and materials
• Serve as primary clinical mentor guiding new hires toward independent field performance
• Travel extensively (up to 70%) to customer sites and training events
