Job summary

HistoSonics Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinical Applications Specialist to develop the clinical competency and field readiness of the commercial team through immersive onboarding and mentorship.

You will bridge classroom education with real-world histotripsy procedures, ensuring new hires can support the technology safely and effectively. You will collaborate with Clinical Training leadership to validate competency, document progress, and drive standardized onboarding across diverse clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post‑market clinical support within medical devices or interventional medicine.
• Background in diagnostic medical sonography and/or RDMS certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures, treatment workflow, and physician training models.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical data, evaluate safety trends, and communicate complex clinical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including translating clinical evidence into field‑ready guidance.
• Ability to travel (approx. 70%) to support field insight gathering, training, and Medical Affairs collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute the field immersion phase of the onboarding program with hands-on procedural coaching and real-world case exposure.
• Develop the clinical competency and field readiness of new hires through coaching and guided experiences.
• Coach new hires on clinical workflow, physician interaction, imaging optimization, treatment planning, and post-procedure responsibilities.
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide timely developmental feedback.
• Maintain onboarding documentation and LMS records.
• Identify performance gaps and implement individualized development plans.
