HistoSonics is seeking a Sr. Clinical Applications Specialist to lead onboarding coaching, build field readiness, and mentor new hires in clinical applications and medical affairs within the medtech space. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post-market clinical support within medical devices or interventional medicine.
• Background in diagnostic medical sonography and/or RDMS certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures, treatment workflow, and physician training models.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical data, evaluate safety trends, and communicate complex clinical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including translating clinical evidence into field-ready guidance.
• Ability to travel (approx. 70%) to support field insight gathering, training, and Medical Affairs collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute the field immersion phase of the onboarding program with hands-on coaching and feedback.
• Develop the clinical competency and field readiness of new hires through structured coaching.
• Coach new hires on clinical workflow, imaging optimization, treatment planning, and post-procedure responsibilities.
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide developmental feedback.
• Maintain onboarding progress documentation in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Identify performance gaps and implement individualized development plans.
• Recommend readiness for independent field deployment based on competency standards.
• Partner with the Clinical Training team to support Foundations and Advanced Training via simulations and workshops.
• Ensure standardized execution of clinical workflows and documentation across cohorts.
• Collaborate to continuously improve onboarding curriculum and learning resources.
• Identify recurring gaps and provide actionable feedback to enhance training content.
• Serve as the primary clinical mentor for new hires throughout onboarding.
• Support ongoing field development initiatives across the commercial organization.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, training events, and internal meetings.
