Job summary

HistoSonics is seeking a Sr. Clinical Applications Specialist to accelerate onboarding and field readiness for its commercial team.

The role develops competency through immersive coaching, clinical mentorship, and structured assessments, bridging classroom education with real-world application. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in clinical applications or medical devices, plus experience with image-guided procedures and a strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline is preferred.
• 5+ years in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post-market support in medical devices.
• RDMS certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures and physician training models.
• Willingness to travel ~70% for field activities and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead field immersion of onboarding program and coach new hires.
• Develop clinical competency and field readiness of staff.
• Coach on clinical workflow, imaging optimization, and procedural execution.
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide feedback.
• Document onboarding progress in LMS and track milestones.
• Identify gaps and create development plans for onboarding cohorts.
• Act as primary clinical mentor during onboarding and ongoing field education.
• Collaborate with Clinical Training to support labs, mock procedures, and workshops.
• Ensure consistent clinical workflows and documentation across cohorts.
• Travel to customer sites, training events, and internal meetings.
