As a Claims team member, you will conduct thorough investigations, manage claims toward timely resolution, and collaborate with internal and carrier partners to control costs and improve outcomes.

This is a fully remote role with travel about 10–15% and a pay range of $120,000–$160,000. We seek a seasoned professional with JD and state adjuster licenses, strong communication, data-driven

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional experience with at least 3 years litigating or managing dental/professional liability claims.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD and professional designations (RPLU, AIC) highly preferred.
• Must possess all required state claim adjuster licenses, or obtain them within 90 days of hire.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Strong time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Comfort with paperless claims environment and MS Office; Google Docs a plus.
• Willingness to use data-driven insights and travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for each claim.
• Manage each claim to timely and cost-effective resolution.
• Build and maintain relationships with policyholders, brokers, carriers, and risk engineers.
• Direct and monitor assignments to experts and outside counsel; ensure service standards.
• Support data collection and model inputs using the Counterpart claim system.
• Identify emerging claim trends and provide escalation insights.
• Provide feedback to improve claim handling processes and systems.
• Ensure interactions with insureds and brokers reflect the Counterpart brand.
