Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Civil Construction team in a remote role. The ideal candidate will prepare detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work with strong experience in self-perform civil work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoff information for materials and costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to prepare estimates.
• Meet milestones for interim reviews and meet submission deadlines.
• Obtain and vet subcontractor pricing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
