Cardinal Health is hiring a Sr. Coordinator, Individualized Care for a remote, full-time position. You will support patient access to therapy via reimbursement services, guiding providers through referrals, benefits, authorizations and step therapy reviews.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in related fields, experience with insurance investigations, and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid practices. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-6 years experience in related field preferred.
• 1-2 years experience conducting and documenting patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals, preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercially insured payer common practices and policies, preferred.
• Critical and creative thinking, preferred.
• Experience with health payer processes and bios/benefit programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Case Manager supports patient access to therapy through Reimbursement Support Services.
• Guides healthcare providers through referral intake, benefit investigations, prior authorizations and step therapy reviews.
• Proactively follows up with insurers, specialty pharmacies, and support organizations to facilitate coverage and delivery of product.
• Ensure timely patient access to therapy and maintain compliance with HIPAA and policies.
