Job summary

Cardinal Health Sonexus Access and Patient Support is seeking a Case Manager to guide patient access to therapy. The role focuses on reimbursement support, benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and payer communications. Training is provided and the schedule runs Monday–Friday with potential for full-time remote work.

The position emphasizes accuracy, timely follow-up, and collaboration with carriers and providers to ensure patient access to therapy while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience conducting and documenting patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals, preferred.
• 3-6 years experience in related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercially insured payer practices and policies, preferred.
• Important to have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Guide healthcare providers through patient journey steps from referral intake to therapy.
• Mediate resolution for complex payer/pharmacy issues toward positive outcomes.
• Proactive follow-up with payers, pharmacies, and support organizations to facilitate coverage and delivery.
• Inbound and outbound call interactions with high-quality customer service.
