Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Business Process Analyst to lead continuous process improvement for Veterans Affairs initiatives in a remote capacity. The role requires expertise in Agile and SAFe, process design, and cross-functional collaboration across customer and technical teams.

The position emphasizes defining processes, performance metrics, and change management to drive efficiency and value across large portfolios. Deep analytics and mentoring of junior staff are expected.

Qualifications

Experience delivering complex projects with measurable outcomes.
Ability to elicit and document business requirements and workflows.
Familiarity with UML and BPMN for modeling processes.
Proficiency with Agile and SAFe practices and tools.
In-depth knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
US citizenship and ability to work on VA-related programs.

Responsibilities

Provide expertise on process improvement strategies and organizational redesign.
Define and develop business processes, policies, roles, and performance metrics.
Perform current-state, gap, benchmark analyses, and organizational assessments.
Plan and implement future-state designs and change management activities.
Coordinate with customer, IT, and client services teams across portfolios.
Deliver training and presentations on measurement and control.
Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-functional project teams.
