Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Biosciences Account Manager to drive sales growth and manage key accounts in Illinois. This home-based role requires building lasting relationships with academic, government, and industrial customers while representing a broad portfolio of scientific products and services.

You will lead strategic account engagement, attend scientific events, and conduct prospecting and demonstrations to expand revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of work experience, or 5 years with a graduate degree.
• Fields: Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry or related.
• Strong technical understanding of the science field and customer workflows.
• Prior bench experience.
• Proven track record in instrumentation, laboratory, or scientific sales.
• Ability to map stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25-75%.
• Fluency in English; additional languages beneficial.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales targets by maintaining existing business and developing incremental opportunities.
• Execute sales strategies including prospecting, qualification, value-based selling, and closing.
• Position solutions through presentations and demonstrations and drive customer adoption.
• Manage sales opportunities with forecasting, next steps, and close plans.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and engage stakeholders across accounts.
• Participate in sales meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
• Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to deliver results.
• Describe territory and account mix requirements for the role.
