YA Group is seeking a Senior Biomechanist to lead forensic biomechanics analyses, vehicle reconstructions, and injury assessments for legal and insurance contexts. The role emphasizes experience with complex accident scenarios, external client engagement, and clear testimony in depositions and trials.

The position is fully remote for candidates nationwide in the United States, requiring a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering degree and credentials such as PE, PhD, SAE or ACTAR.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in biomechanics, accident reconstruction, and premises liability work or similar.
• Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering is required.
• Deposition and courtroom testimony experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD related to accident reconstruction.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and measure vehicles.
• Provide expert testimony at trials, depositions, or other proceedings.
• Use computer models to reconstruct accidents and measure loads/injuries.
• Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles/sites and analyze crash sequences.
• Review documents to gather information for reconstruction or analysis.
• Perform simulations of vehicular collisions using software such as PC-Crash.
• Evaluate the effects of impact forces on occupants.
• Determine injury mechanisms in vehicular accidents and premises liability cases.
• Perform accident reconstructions of single and multi-vehicle incidents.
• Compute impact speeds, collision forces, and trajectories.
