Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Senior Biomechanist for remote nationwide work in the United States. The role focuses on human-injury impact analysis, accident reconstruction, and forensic biomechanics to determine injury mechanisms and accident dynamics.

Responsibilities include expert testimony, simulations, and comprehensive reporting. Applicants should have 4+ years in biomechanics and a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering degree, with CAD experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of biomechanics, accident reconstruction, and premises liability experience.
• Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Experience with legal depositions/testimony is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD related to accident reconstruction.
• Licenses/certifications such as PE, PhD, SAE, or ACTAR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measures vehicles.
• Provide expert testimony at trials and depositions.
• Use computer models to reconstruct accidents and measure loads.
• Conduct inspections and analyze crash sequences.
• Review documents (police reports, medical records, etc.).
• Perform simulations using PC-Crash.
• Evaluate effects of impact forces on occupants.
• Determine human injury mechanisms in vehicular accidents.
• Perform accident reconstructions of various scenarios.
• Utilize engineering principles to calculate speeds, forces, and trajectories.
• Compare calculations with crash test reports.
• Review literature to advance techniques.
• Provide written conclusions of findings.
• Market YA Engineering Services to clients.
