Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage system projects. You will provide technical direction, engineering oversight, and ensure performance, safety, and reliability across scopes.

This fully remote role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing studies, coordinating with EPC partners, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering with focus on BESS or power systems.
• Experience with BESS design, integration, and optimization.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS engineering scopes and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing.
• Collaborate across electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV engineering scopes.
• Manage Engineers of Record and third-party partners.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJs.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for BESS components.
• Provide engineering support during procurement, testing, and commissioning.
