Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide advanced technical oversight and SME guidance across EPC projects nationwide. You will coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, and AHJs, review complex BESS deliverables, and support commissioning, testing, and warranty activities.

The role expands BESS coordination, influences standards, and drives portfolio-level improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive electrical engineering, BESS engineering, EPC, utility-scale renewable energy experience.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, commissioning interfaces, and grid interconnection equipment.
• Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, consultants, AHJs, owners, and internal teams.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, vendor documentation, and commissioning documents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a BESS engineering SME for layouts, integration, controls, and commissioning.
• Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, and consultants to deliver engineering deliverables.
• Review drawings, specifications, and vendor docs for contract alignment and site needs.
• Track action items, responses, and design revisions through closure.
• Support field teams with RFIs, clarifications, and warranty investigations.
• Mentor junior staff within Construction Engineering.
