Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for Multifamily to own the largest, multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contract. This is an individual-contributor role with a $2M annual quota, handling deals across multiple locations and portfolios in a remote capacity for the USA or Canada.

You will work with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders, closing long, strategic negotiations while expanding services as groups sign on.

Qualifications

• Tracking record of closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling into multifamily groups or similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision-makers; not suited for high-volume, single-location sales.

Responsibilities

• Own the full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close over 3–12 months.
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Drive expansion to more locations and additional services after a group signs.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to build proposals for the deals that matter most.
