Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a Principal to oversee audit and related assignments with minimal supervision, focusing on technical review, engagement supervision, mentoring, and delivering high-quality work.

You will manage engagements, conduct thorough reviews, supervise staff, and strengthen client relationships while advancing the firm’s technical reputation and profitability. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

CPA license required; experience reviewing complex audits preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; 15 years public accounting audit experience.
Strong technical understanding of auditing standards for complex engagements.
Ability to clearly communicate audit, accounting, and review matters to Partners, teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

Oversee assigned audit engagements and technical review responsibilities; plan, staff, and manage timing and documentation quality.
Conduct thorough technical engagement reviews; review financial statements and audit workpapers; resolve complex technical matters.
Supervise and mentor staff; identify development opportunities and maintain a respectful team atmosphere.
Apply technical knowledge to identify high value-added opportunities for existing clients.
Support firm reputation by participating in internal training, client trainings, and technical discussions.
Maintain client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical competence.
