Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Principal to oversee audit and related assignments for complex engagements, operating with minimal supervision and focusing on technical review and engagement leadership.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, supervising engagement teams, and delivering high-quality work while building strong client relationships across real estate, affordable housing, and development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree is a plus). CPA license is required.
• Experience reviewing complex project-level or fund-level audits is preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of auditing and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for assigned audit engagements and technical review responsibilities.
• Conduct thorough technical engagement reviews of financial statements and audit workpapers.
• Supervise and mentor professional staff and foster a productive team atmosphere.
• Apply technical knowledge to identify high value-added opportunities for Firm clients.
• Maintain relationships with clients through professionalism and responsiveness.
• Support office profitability by managing time efficiently and supervising staff.
