Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a Principal to oversee audit engagements with minimal supervision, emphasizing technical review, engagement supervision, mentoring, and consistent delivery of high-quality work.

You will supervise and mentor staff, review complex project- and fund-level audits, and contribute to the firm’s technical reputation through trainings and publications, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus; minimum 15 years public accounting audit experience.
• CPA license required; experience reviewing complex project- or fund-level audits.
• Strong auditing knowledge and ability to research and document technical matters.
• Excellent communication to Partners, engagement teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned audit engagements and technical review with planning, staffing, timing, and documentation.
• Conduct technical engagement reviews of financial statements and audit workpapers.
• Supervise and mentor staff, identifying development opportunities.
• Identify high value-added opportunities for existing Firm clients.
• Participate in internal trainings, client trainings, and technical discussions.
• Build and strengthen client relationships with professionalism and responsiveness.
• Develop technical expertise and uphold firm quality standards.
• Manage time efficiently and support engagement teams to deliver high-quality work.
