Job summary

Snowflake seeks a Senior Solution Engineer to solve complex customer problems and close large deals. You will work with the sales team and channel partners to understand needs, strategize winning cycles, deliver value-based demonstrations, support PoCs, and ultimately close business.

This remote role requires ~25% travel and allows candidates to sit anywhere in the USA. You will combine business and technical acumen to engage executives and technical audiences across engagements.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
• Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences.
• 5+ years building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud.
• Curious about the AI landscape and a visionary technical partner for customers.
• Ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity.
• Broad experience in large-scale Database, Data Warehouse, ETL, analytics and cloud tech (Data Lake/Data Mesh/Data Fabric).
• Hands-on SQL, SQL analytics and Python.
• Ability to connect customer problems with Snowflake solutions.
• Deep discovery of customer architecture and Snowflake Data Architecture alignment.
• University degree in CS/engineering/maths; Masters a plus.
• GSIs experience beneficial, travel around 30%.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
• Demonstrate and communicate Snowflake value throughout the sales cycle from demo to PoC to design and implementation.
• Stay informed about competing technologies and position Snowflake effectively.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.
