Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function within a fast-paced professional services environment. This fully remote role handles invoice processing, payments, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of AP experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and experience with a legal or professional services firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Solid understanding of full-cycle AP, coding, payments, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience with carrier invoices or billing guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, including processing 20-50+ invoices and payment requests per day
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and compliance with established procedures
• Prepare and process vendor payments, check requests, and other AP transactions
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, duplicate invoices, and vendor inquiries
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and assist with resolving outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation to ensure a clean audit trail
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accrual support, and outstanding invoice review
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and internal departments to address AP-related issues and maintain timely processing
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and improve AP efficiency
• Serve as an experienced resource to other AP team members and provide support on more complex transactions as needed
